South Eastern Standardbred Riding Group

Im pleased to announce that we are now generously sponsored by Harness Racing Victoria. They have kindly given us funds towards our grounds fees for Ivens reserve, as well as a substantial contribution towards our fundraising efforts for the storage shed grant we put in to the council.

Which brings me to the second bit of great news! The City of Casey has granted SESRG, in conjunction with Lysterfield ARC, a very substantial Minor Capital Works Grant to build a joint storage shed which will house the equipment of both clubs.  Construction will begin in the next couple of months and shouldnt take very long to complete!

Now we are getting somewhere!!!

SESRG have a team competing at TTT Combined Training at Elcho Park in Lara this weekend (24th-25th March).

We have 2 riders in level 4 competing on Saturday and 2 riders in the level 5 competing Sunday. If you arent busy or are going to be there anyway please come down and cheer them on :-)

What an amazing day we had on Sunday!

We had a great turn out, heaps of spectators and the weather was just glorious! I would like to thank everyone who competed for making it such a great day, especially those who traveled from afar to attend.

Id also like to thank the helpers who were busy keeping things going, and a very special thank you to Viki Filippin our judge who was amazing. Not only was she lovely, but she was very fair and had lots of advice and pointers about where we went wrong and how to improve. I would also like to say a special thank you to Cheveaux Park for volunteering to be our steward, Very much appreciated.

Last but not least id like to thank our Sponsors. First to Marco's IGA in Narre Warren North for donating ALL the food and drink for the day. It was spectacular. Well the team did fantastically!

We came home with a 4th, and an 8th and the team finished mid field out of over 100 teams!

Its that time again!  And we have a big day planned!  We have so many people coming we have had to run THREE jumping lessons!  Its so great that so many people are giving jumping a go

Hopefully the weather is kind to us and we have an awesome day

Spectators are MOST welcome so if any prospective members would liket to come down and watch... please do!!

SE SRG will have a team flying the standy banner at the Top Team Trophy Combined Training event being held this weekend at Werribee Park Equestrian Centre.

If anyone is free and would liket to come and cheer the team on we are all on to compete after midday.

What a weekend for the standies! Out in force and placing at the SPPHAV dressage day! Well done guys!

AND the rally was a HUGE success We had a bunch of new people start and everyone had an amazing time.

So all in all a very successful weekend.

So we have a normal instructional rally this Sunday at Ivens Reserve.  Helen Lowry will be instructing at the rally will start at 10:00am.  If anyone would like to go down and watch you are more than welcome.

Unfortunately I and a few others wont be there as we are competing... but we will be there in spirit

Our In-House Show is here !!

The SE SRG In-House Show will be held on Sunday 20th March at Iven's Reserve, Narre Warren North.

Show prep classes (so we can learn how to turn our horses into showies) starts at 9am sharp,

Then our In-House Show starts at 11am !

It is going to be a really great day
